Partisan collective

Partisan-collective-Manchester

I’ve been volunteering with Manchester social centre Partisan’s Media and Print team since October 2019, and recently joined the organisation’s co-op — a smaller group of dedicated collective members who take care of the day-to-day running of Partisan, including office management, event coordination, finances and licensing issues. Most members of the co-op are volunteers, but it includes five paid part-time staff members.

I primarily support with communications tasks, like updating the website and social media, as well as bigger picture brand and identity work.

Partisan are currently under financial pressure as a result of COVID-19. If you’re able to support the organisation in some way — by becoming a member, making a one-off donation, or directing us to funding opportunities that would be hugely appreciated.

Since launching in 2017, the collective has quickly become established in Manchester as a key social space and haven for people on the margins, as well as providing affordable office space to charities and a lot of very good times to people looking to dance and play in an inclusive environment.
