I wanted to introduce you to a new title, Love Notes: for a Politics of Love. Compiled by Philip McKibbin, the book contains a series of essays exploring the role of love in politics, that Philip has authored or co-authored over the last few years. Three were published via Impolitikal, and I’m grateful for their inclusion.

Sarah here, writing with some hard news. For a variety of reasons, we’ve decided it’s time to pull the shutters on Impolitikal.
The short version is that, despite our team putting a lot of energy into making Impolitikal happen, we simply don’t have the temporal or financial resources to grow beyond where we are now, or do justice to the vision of what we’d like to be.
A changing media: Crisis or opportunity?
This is my chapter for Don’t dream it’s over: Reimagining journalism in Aotearoa New Zealand, a collaborative title exploring the past, present and future of journalism in New Zealand, commissioned and compiled by the good people at Freerange Press.
I was an editor on the book, which came out this week.
